Former UFC two-weight champion, Irish star Conor McGregor, who has already been announced to take on American Michael Chandler in a fight later this year, will be back inside the organization's cage in September, according to journalist Ariel Helwani. "Dana White recently revealed that Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler have become the next TUF coaches and will square off later this year."
The TUF season will take place from May to August. According to what I heard last, the organization is hoping that fighters will compete in September," Helwani wrote on social media. Conor McGregor is 34 years old. In his last fight at UFC 264 in July 2021, the Irishman lost by technical knockout (leg injury) in the first round to American Dustin Poirier.
Michael Chandler is 36 years old. In November at UFC 281 he was also submitted (choke) early by Porier. The fighter is a three-time Bellator champion in the lightweight division (up to 70 kg).
