When we speak about television, we turn to the problem of TV violence. Sociologists say that TV violence shows the viewers crimes and fights. It can influence people, especially children and teenagers. Violence on TV looks funny and usually harmless, that's why children sometimes imitate the behaviour of the film heroes. They don't understand the result of violence in real life.
TV violence can also cause fears and phobias. In many countries there are age restrictions for different films or TV shows.
But TV is not only aggression and crimes; it can also be a cure. Movie therapy is the latest trend which can help to solve a lot of problems. Nowadays psychologists use feature films which help their patients talk freely about their life. Movie therapy is based on discussing the plot and characters of the film. People talk about it and understand their feelings or emotions better.
So TV and modern life go hand in hand and nothing can change it.
